When you crawl into the gorgeous canopy bed after an unforgettable night at Mercado 60 Gourmet and Culinary Cultural Market, you will feel relaxed as the air conditioner cools you off while the comfortable bed supports your tired body.

Upon waking up in the morning, I found myself opening the castle-styled wooden shutter screened-in windows in the room to feel the fresh morning breeze before walking into the special meditation garden at the villa to rehydrate while reading my favorite book.

For my fellow remote workers that highly value fast internet, this is your place! Villa Merida has Elon Musk's lightspeed fast Starlink wifi.

My husband and I found ourselves working on our laptops on one of the luxurious day beds by the pool.

We enjoyed taking a break and cooling off by taking a dip in the beautifully designed one-of-a-kind pool while admiring the gorgeous architecture of the mansion.

This villa also offers a full communal kitchen for those of you who love cooking healthy meals.

The host of Villa Merida goes above and beyond to make you feel like royalty during your stay.

He offered to book massages for us where the masseuses would come to give us massages in our very own majestic room.

He also booked a reservation for us at Restaurante Picheta.

This restaurant is known to have the best rooftop dining in all of Merida with breathtaking views of the sunset and Merida's main square, Plaza Grande.

The food was delectable and the cocktails were just as delicious.

With endless places inside the walls of this villa to unwind, we found ourselves relaxing for the majority of our stay.

I could not recommend a more tranquil, luxurious, iconic, or secure place to stay than Villa Merida.
