What is the Key to Loving Yourself Wholeheartedly?

If you want to love yourself wholeheartedly, you have to be willing to be a bad person in other peoples eyes.

You have to be willing to be disliked.

You have to be willing to let people down.

Because the truth is: some people think that loving yourself makes you conceited.

Some people think that setting boundaries makes you selfish.

Some people will find your happiness triggering.

Some people will think you think you’re better than others.

Some people will judge you but secretly crave what you have.

Some people will make fun of you because they’re insecure in themselves.

Some people hate change.

Some people will see you releasing parts of your identity that don’t serve you and they won’t like it because they put you in a tidy box that was safe and certain and here you are breaking out of it.

The reality is this:

You will disappoint others by loving yourself.

You will disappoint others by doing what pleases you, NOT them.

You will upset others by setting boundaries.

You will cut ties with toxic people despite blood relation or not because you know that literally "one bad apple spoils the entire barrel."

You don't owe anybody anything.

Focus on loving yourself.

And, as my therapist says: "fuck 'em."
